WE WILL WIN

A poem by Abbas Altamimi

You who want to kill me, I fear you may not know

Those shots of yours I welcome in my chest

I, whose dreams were stolen from my cradle

I, who the whole universe talks about my patience

I whose turn for a job will never come

I who is slaughtered by the knife of your leader

I say it once and not twice

And this is me hungry & raving

Me and the highness of yours cannot stay

One has to be taken, my life or theirs
